Comments about Fundex Games University of Arkansas NCAA Licensed Chuck-O Game:
I would not recommend buying this product. The product is poorly designed and had very poor craftsmanship. When placing the boards together for carrying, they are aligned by matching the holes in the bottom of one board to the pegs in the other and then using the outside latches to secure them. The holes are too large for the width of the board and were not centered when drilled. So somewhere in shipping it caused the wood to break around the pegs and the holes. Also, the paint job was TERRIBLE. The lines were nice and smooth and the logo was okay, but around the hole there were OBVIOUS mistakes and touching up which DID NOT look good. There were also parts on the front of one of the boards with no paint that had not been touched up at all!
Also the bags were quite large and didn't have enough filling so they were extremely flimsy and would be difficult to toss. I would not recommend them for children.
Could you play on these boards? Sure, if you don't care about how they look and how long they'll last. Because of the poor construction, you will definitely need a carrying case to protect it which it does not come with.
I recommend spending a little more money on a well-constructed board if you care anything at all about how it looks or keeping it in good shape. If you don't care about the appearance or quality, you can find better prices on other boards.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt but the boards arrived damaged. Because part of the problem was poor manufacturing and the other part shipping damages I simply wanted my money back to avoid a vicious cycle of returns and wasting more time (and THEIR money). It's a part of the CSN stores return policy to replace damaged goods but I don't see the point when I'll quite likely get another defective product. Because of that I now have to pay for the shipping. ROUND-TRIP. I do NOT feel that is a fair way of dealing with this particular case. IF I WANT TO RETURN A DAMAGED PRODUCT FOR A REFUND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING IT BOTH WAYS. THIS SHOULD BE PAID FOR BY CSNSTORES AND THE MANUFACTURER.
