Swing N Slide went into business in 1980 when the idea of a do it yourself swing set was unheard of. Taking advantage of this market, they began selling swing set kits at a value cost that offered a flexibility that pre-cut or boxed swing sets did not. Not only does Swing N Slide offer a wide selection of do it yourself swing sets at a great value, they meet or exceed strict American Society of Testing Materials Safety Standards.
Swing N Slide has a culture of innovation, introducing the EZ frame bracket system, designing the first plastic slide, the first climbing rock wall, and much much more!Their ingenious idea to market three levels of swing sets geared primarily towards do it yourself customers spawned the 'Ready To Build Custom,' 'Ready to Assemble No-Cut,' and 'Ready To Build Wood Complete' kits. Most of the kits available are in the 'Ready to Build Custom Group'.
Each level is sold with a level of building skill that the customer will need to assemble. For the complete do it yourself customer they offer the "Ready To Build Custom' which comes with a kit that includes assembly instructions and hardware. For the beginner do it yourself parent they offer the Ready To Assemble No-Cut' which comes with all hardware, assembly instructions and pre-cut lumber, and finally for the laid-back customer they offer the 'Ready To Assemble Wood Complete,' which is a swing set fully loaded with accessories, pre-cut lumber, and hardware. Whatever the customer needs Swing N Slide has the product!

Comments about Swing-n-Slide Turbo Tube Slide - Forest Green:
Definitely not a one person job. Putting it together is a seemingly simple process, but the bolt holes didn't line up quite right every time. We had one person line them up with a screwdriver, while the other person quickly put the bolt in. The directions were lacking on how to mount it to the play area as well, so I would suggest either being or knowing an experienced handyman/handywoman.
Once you get past the directions, it's a great product, the kids love it, and you can't beat the price.

Comments about Swing-n-Slide Turbo Tube Slide - Forest Green:
It is a good slide and I'm happy with it. However, I have some gripes about the instructions. First, they are dated 1993 - no joke. Second, they must assume you're putting it on a kit of theirs, because they don't tell you what size frame/opening to build if you're putting it on your own creation (other than the height). Making a guess based on the piece that mounts to the structure isn't as easy as you might think. Also, each piece is stamped with a letter but "piece C" doesn't necessarily belong in "section C". Another minor irritation with the instructions is that the photo next to the section you're reading is for three steps ago - the photo you want now is halfway down the next page. In my opinion, they need to scrap these instructions and develop a better set.
As others have stated, you will need a second or third person, but only when you go to attach the slide to the play structure. I was able to do all the assembly prior to that on my own.

Comments about Swing-n-Slide Turbo Tube Slide - Forest Green:
We assembled the slide on the 7' high deck like others had mentioned. Some of the holes did not line up (like the instructions warned), but we easily drilled a couple new holes. The slide also comes with some green braces for 4x4's which we will find use for. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. The slide looks great and the kids have a blast on it! I couldn't beat the price either!

Comments about Swing-n-Slide Turbo Tube Slide - Forest Green:
Slide works great, kids love it. The directions to assemble the slide were very clear. However, when it came time to attach it to the tower, the instructions were very poor. I bought this to attach to my own desgin, not a swing 'n slide brand playset. There are no specific dimensions given for the platform height other than in the online description of "7 foot" and there are no directions on the opening size, should the bottom lip of the slide sit above floor level, below floor level, how much overlap on sides, minimum lumber requirements for size, etc. It was definitely a three person job to attach and we just kind of had to make it up as we went along. Took several hours just to install to the tower.

Great slide! [...] My 5 yr old is loving it! Assembly is not that bad once you realize you "rotate 2 holes" from the seam of each section (it says it on the assembly pictures). Wasn't bad to put up for final assembly as long as you pre-drill everything (just my wife and I did it). Mine is up 7 ft from the opening of the slide and everything fit perfect. Have fun.

Comments about Swing-n-Slide Turbo Tube Slide - Forest Green:
The slide seems sturdy except the bottom curve needs a brace and I don't remember if the site stated that or not. My son is only about 35 lbs. and when he slides down it, it gives in that area.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt and we couldn't beat the free shipping. The slide did arrive in good condition. We are pleased with the slide but the holes did not line up well when we were trying to fasten it together. We spent alot of time rearranging pieces to try to get the holes to line up better but it didn't seem to change much. We stiil had to use a screwdriver in some of the holes to get the bolts through them. Now that it's together my son loves it. Although it does have a kink in the seam on the under side of the top section due to the holes not being lined up correctly. Thanks for the opportunity to send this review and I hope it helps.
